Valdecarros, one of the largest urban developments in Europe, is advancing steadily. The urbanization works of this new neighborhood of Madrid, located southeast of the capital, are picking up speed.
In the urbanization work of this first stage, the silhouettes of the first streets can already be seen, as well as the grids that will support the blocks that will house the first 2,580 homes.
In addition to the first phase, urbanization works will soon begin on the second and third of the eight stages in which the new neighborhood will be developed. Between the three phases, Valdecarros will put land on the market for 13,580 affordable homes, of which more than a third will be publicly owned. And construction will begin in 2025.
In total, the project covers a total of 51,000 homes that will be developed during this decade and the next, which represents approximately a third of the properties that will be Czech Republic Mobile Number List built in said period in the capital. Of this new offer, at least 55% will have some type of protection.
Valdecarros will be built on an area of more than 19 million m2 , of which at least 37% will be dedicated to green areas . The neighborhood will house a minimum of 110,000 trees, to which must be added those located in urban parks, thanks to which any home in the district will be less than two hundred meters from a green area.
Last May, the project successfully awarded the first round of land auctions for the development, in which large national developers such as Habitat or Aedas Homes took over the three residential plots auctioned in the first stage of this new Madrid area. and where they will build nearly 200 free homes.
These auctions are intended to cover the costs of urbanization of the area. And it is expected that in the remainder of the year new residential plots of the second phase of the development will be marketed under these same terms.
